This car is so beautiful and odd - I’d love to own it for a bit, but it’s gonna take a lot of monies.
Just watch out for snap oversteer...

It’s like a Mercury and a Beetle secretly got it on in the 50 's, and this is their happy little love child.

What a strange beast with a face only a mother could love.
Another neat tidbit from the listing is about the owner (emphasis mine),
The seller is a collector of interesting and oddball vintage cars, and this T87 shares garage space with a Messerschmitt KR200, Fiat Multipla , Hudson Hornet, Citroen Traction Avant, and Bentley 4 1/4 Saloon, among others.

Yeah - except that this car predates both of them. Introduced in 1936.

Needs more Chr ysler Airflow, methinks. The seller certainly has eclectic tastes!

1.21 gigawatts.

and 88 mph - yeah that would do it!

Didn’t know about the Airflow, what a cool ride.

Very cool - but too far ahead of its time, apparently.

If you're ever in Minnesota the Minneapolis institute of art has one on display!

Beautiful, can’t even imagine wanting to lift that flimsy old engine cover up.
How many rear V8s can there possibly be in the world?

Selling the Tatra to make room for the Multipla. C’mon bro..

Multiple Multipla, what more can a guy ask for?

Quite a few, but I’d guess they’re nearly all by Tatra.
Here’s the end of the line:
Aesthetically challenged, but that wasn’t unusual for a T
atra.

I think it’s safe to assume that it’s this Multipla
not this

That makes much more sense. What an evolution.

But did they ever really do volume? Even if they had ten models, did they ever build 1000 cars?

Wiki is your friend....
Some of the earlier models were made in the thousands over a long period, but the last did only 75.

After I wrote that comment I read the entire Wiki on Tatra and some of its models too. :)
I like them. I’d like to have one. There are probably none in Australia
